A BELATED NEW YEAR!!!

Hi there guys!

So sorry that this post is late and apologies that I didn't manage to post any patterns before New Year as promised.  The run  up to New Year turned out to be quite hectic and getting back into work after almost 3 weeks off has been quite tiring too.

My computer has also had an upgrade over the New Year and re-installing all my programs and getting it running just how I like it has taken longer than planned.

To make up for it, I plan to post 3 patterns today!!!

The first one is the Element icons from the Pokemon Trading Card Game:

I've never really played this game, although I used to collect the cards.

I've seen these sprites a lot on the internet either as cross-stitch or perler beads, yet I could never find a pattern for them.  I decided the best thing to do would be to make a pattern myself.  I think they are quite cool.

There are of course, a lot more sprites, so I may chart some more of these in the near future!

Next we have some more Pokedex 3D AR Markers:

L-R: 029 Nidoran [F]; 030 Nidorino; 031 Nidoqueen

L-R: 032 Nidoran [M]; 033 Nidorino; 034 Nidoking

I never expected charting these markers to be such an arduous task!  I suspect it will take much longer to complete these than I had initially planned.

As always, you know where to go to download the patterns :)

So that's all I have for today.  I won't say I'll have some new patterns soon, as to be honest, I don't know when the next lot will come along.  For now, enjoy the rest of your weekend and, till next time.../

Keep Kalm and cross-stitch!! :) xxx

The patterns have been uploaded to BOX.net

So that's all I have for today (I know, it's short and sweet)!

Till next time ... keep Kalm and cross-stitch! xxx

+New Patterns+ Pokedex 3D - Kanto critters No's 10 to 18

Woo, three posts in as many days ... hahahaha :D

I'm on a bit of a roll at the moment and they do say that you should strike whilst the iron is hot!

Recently, I've been featuring a lot of non-gaming patterns, so today I thought I'd post some gaming ones.  With the exception of the Unown markers I posted back in May, it's been a while since I last posted some Pokemon AR markers (January in fact).

I decided it was time to do some more!

I've charted the next nine Kanto critters for you:

L to R: Caterpie; Metapod; Butterfree
L to R: Weedle; Kakuna; Beedrill
L to R: Pidgey; Pidgeotto; Pidgeot

As always, the patterns have been uploaded to BOX.net.

As I have mentioned before, I do check the markers reveal the correct critters before I chart the them.
Don't forget though that some markers which are similar will produce more than one Pokemon!

They don't take long to chart up so all being well, there should be another set of markers soon!

Well that's me done blogging for this week (maybe).

Till next time ... keep Kalm and cross-stitch :) xxx

+NEW PATTERNS+ Unown AR Markers (Part 2)

Greetings Guys!!!

Well I must apologise for the lack of activity on here recently.  As always, life gets in the way.  I din't realise I hadn't posted for a while until the other day -- time sure flies!!!

To make up for it (and because today is a Bank Holiday here in the UK), I have uploaded the patterns for the remaining Unown AR Markers -- that's letters H to Z plus ? and !

ALL markers have been checked on my 3DS and do work!

Patterns are up on Box.net in the usual place :)

Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the next set of patterns, but I'm pretty busy with work until the middle of June and then it's Download weekend from the 14th to 16th June -- WOOP, WOOP (can't wait for that).

Until then, keep stitching and sending me your finished works!

Till next time ... keep Kalm and cross-stitch! :) xxx

+NEW PATTERNS+ Unown AR Markers (Part 1)

Greetings guys, hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

It's been a while since I last shared some patterns.  I have to confess that I have been a bit tardy of late, but I hope you'll all forgive me!

Anyway, as you know, I'm converting the Pokedex 3D AR into cross-stitch patterns.  Not a difficult task, just an arduous one give that there are so many (and no doubt with X and Y due in October, more will be added)!!!

I will try and get some more of the Kanto critters charted soon, but for now, I can at least share the AR markers for the mysterious "Unowns".  There are 28 in total (26 letters and ! and ?).  They've all been charted, but so far I have only made up patterns for the first 7 letters (A-G):

I've had people grumble at me in the past that some of the markers don't work.  Just to reassure you, I check EVERY marker to ensure they do work and reveal the Pokemon that they're supposed to before I share the patterns.  Markers that are very similar will throw up two (sometimes three) Pokemon, but most of the time you will what you want.

I had Arceus pop up a few times with these guys!!

Anyway, here's the proof that the above markers will give you Unowns A to G:

It wasn't easy trying to get them all to play ball!!!

I've uploaded the patterns to BOX.net.  I started a new folder in the Pokedex 3D sub-folder marked "00-Unowns" as I felt that these should be kept separate from the rest of the Johto critters!  The "00" sub fix means that if Nintendo do release AR makers for the Gen 6 critters, it won't mess the numbering up!!!

So if you want to create your own markers and have pesky Unowns bouncing around all over the place, go download them now!!!

Hopefully, the next set will follow shortly :)

Till next time ... keep Kalm and cross-stitch!!!

+NEW PATTERNS+ Pokedex 3D

Greetings guys and Happy Weekend :D

Last week at work was really hectic, and I'm still not used to doing a full week so it's been pretty tiring.  It's hard to get motivated to design, chart and even stitch when you can't keep your eyes open!!!

Anyway, as I mentioned in a previous post, I have managed to get some new patterns charted which I hope I will be able to post over the weekend.

First up, Pokedex 3D.  You will recall before New Year I posted charts for the Kanto starters and their evolutions (probably everyone's favourite starters, no?)  Last night when I got home from work, I charted them properly and converted to PDF.

Here they are:

Gen I starters - Grass (001-003):

(l-r) Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur

Gen I starters - Fire (004-006):

(l-r) Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard

Gen I starters - Water (007-009):

(l-r) Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise

To accommodate these new patterns, I have re-arranged the 'Pokedex 3D' folder on BOX.net by making new folders for the five known regions - Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova.  The markers will be uploaded to their relevant region of origin.

The Unova markers have been moved to the 'Unova' folder and I will shortly begin the pain staking task of renumbering them so that they fall in line with the "National Dex".  This is a project that will probably take ages to complete so please be patient with me.

It might be a good idea to start this project by posting the patterns for all the starters first and then work on each region in turn.

With news this week that Generation VI is in development, the aim is to try and complete this before the new games come out.  With the new games also being the first true games for the 3DS, I expect AR markers to be a must, as well as lots of other 3D goodies.

Gen VI starters (l-r) Froakie, Fennekin, Chespin

Of course, new Pokemon also means new blackwork possibilities too!!!

So that's all for today, all being well, I will have some more Stargate glyphs to upload tomorrow, but until then...

Keep Kalm and cross-stitch!!!

THIS IS THE LAST ENTRY FOR 2012 ... BUT ... HERE COMES A SNEEK PREVIEW OF A PROJECT FOR 2013!!!

Well here we are, it's the last day of 2012 and the last entry for this year.  Some countries will have already seen in the New Year, but here in the UK, we have about 9 and a half hours before Big Ben chimes midnight (and that's the chimes that matter).

So if you live in Oceania or Japan -- HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

For the rest of us ... well, we'll have to wait a little bit longer!

So, what do I have in store for my last post of the year?  Well firstly, I wanted to continue on with my doodle from yesterday:

Hehehehehe :)

I've been thinking that next year I need to start drawing these guys some more as these were a lot of fun to do.  Expect to see some more soon.

And now to new patterns -- HUZZAH!!!

Not wanting to give too much away with my plans for next year (there'll be more on that later this week), but rest assured the Pokemon blackwork will continue!!!  Staying with Pokemon, those who've been following me over a year now will know that I charted the AR Markers for Pokedex 3D on the 3DS.  This eshop freebie featured just the Unova critters, but last month, Nintendo released Pokedex 3D Pro.  It comes with the hefty price tag of £13.49 but you are getting critters from all five regions!

That's in excess of 650 Pokemon (eeek)!!!

So muggings here has decided that she's going to chart all the AR markers for your stitchy pleasure (which could take some time -- and I will need to put new folders up on BOX.net).

As it's New Year, I've decided to treat you guys to the Kanto starters and their evolutions:

I'll start posting PDF files in the New Year.

***

A quick word of note before anyone moans that they don't work --- they do, because I've tried them!  I've had quite a few people say to me that the Unova ones don't work or they get different Pokemon.  It is worth noting that this sometimes happens when markers are similar (it's frustrating), but I don't post any markers without checking they show the Pokemon they are supposed to!

*Rant over*

So with the last patterns of 2012 posted, all that remains is for me to wish all my followers and very Happy New Year!  If you're having a party tonight, have fun ... but most of all, BE SAFE!!!

Till next year ... keep Kalm and cross-stiutch!!!

Best wishes

Cazzy (aka Gatchacaz) xxx
