Website Updates ... New "In Stitches" ... Featured Work!!!

Greetings guys, hope you're all enjoying the start to your weekend!

Well Zelda Month is over and it's time to move onto another project, but before then, there are a few more Zelda related things to conclude!!

First, ALL the patterns I've featured on here (as well as a few more) are now on my website for you to download and stitch yourselves!  You can download them direct from here.

Next, I managed to finish the next character in my "In Stitches" series, and in keeping with last month's Zelda theme, guess who it is ...

Da-na-na-naaaaa!!!  Yay, it's Link!!!
I decided some time ago that my In Stitches series wasn't going to be just characters from FFVII -- afterall, I like other video games too and the talented White-Materia had plenty of chibi's to chose from.  I really liked the Link sprite which is why I stitched it.  It actually took me a while to get this one right, in fact I started charting it before my illness kicked in and then had to abandon it because it just wasn't happening!  Eventually, I managed to choose colours I was happy with, and despite a few last minute tweaks, here is the finished product -- which I think is pretty cool!

You can download the pattern directly from here.

There will be more non-FFVII characters in the series -- I plan to stitch Vivi from FFIX next, but that probably won't be until next month!

Finally, it's time to feature some of your spiffy stitching!  I really like seeing what you guys do with my patterns and this fine piece caught my eye the other day on deviantART:

This funky chibi Reno was stitched by Zaraphena for a friend of her's.  I think she's done a great job here and it's nice to see someone stitching characters other than Cloud or Zack!  Be sure to check out Zaraphena's deviantART page!  With her permission, I've also added this to the Gatchastitch Public Gallery on my facebook page!

And speaking of facebook, the astute amongst you will probably have noticed the facebook link I've added to the home page on my website!

So that's all for now.  I'm off to start planning my Pokemon projects for the month and download some more critters for my Pokedex 3D -- enjoy your weekend, whatever you plan to do!!!

Till next time ... Keep Kalm and Cross-stitch! xxx

*** NEW PATTERNS *** Pokemon Gym Badges!!!

Good evening Peeps!

I'm sorry  to be spamming you twice in one day, but I've just added some new patterns to my website and I couldn't wait till tomorrow to post this!!!

Pokemon Gym Badges are a popular theme and I've seen lots of them done in cross-stitch and perler beads, but patterns for them are few and far between -- I think I've only ever seen patterns for the Kanto Region Gyms.

The gym badges are pretty cool, so I decided that hard-core crafty Pokemon fans really need to have patterns for all the gym badges -- that's a wopping 40 badges spread across 5 games/regions!!!

And here they are:

Kanto Region

Johto Region

Hoenn Region

Sinnoh Region

Unova Region

This project has taken me several weeks to complete and finding reference sources for the Unova badges took some doing!  As much as I'm enjoying playing White at the moment, I have to confess that I don't actually think the Unova badges are as funky as some of the earlier badges, so I added a bit of metallic sparkle to them to jazz them up!!!

My personal favourites, for reasons which escape me, are the Sinnoh Gym Badges -- I never completed Diamond (I got bored with it @____@), but the badges are pretty cool.

Whatever, you're favourite badges, I hope you'll have a go!  You can download the patterns directly from here:  http://gatchastitch.110mb.com/Pokemon.html

Well that's all for today, it's getting quite late now and I really should go to bed and catch up with my sleep.

Till next time ... Keep Kalm and Cross-stitch! xx

PS:  My threads came this morning so I will be able to crack on with my Unown Sampler!!!!  ^_____^

Errata -- Lakitu No4

Can you believe that yet another pattern has an error in it?

This one only came to light after I had finished stitching the pattern myself -- how frustrating is that!

Anyway, I shall get the PDF amended ASAP, but for now, here is the amended chart:

Humble apologies all round, I must try harder not the make mistakes!

Errata -- Lakitu No3

I'm in the process of stitching this project myself at the moment and it came to my attention last night that there is a mistake in the pattern.

It's frustrating when it happens, and means I'll have to amend the pattern on the website.  I'll get around to doing that shortly, but in the meantime, here is the amended chart:

Please accept my apologies for this error!

Till next time ... Keep Kalm and Cross-stitch! xxx

WOOO-HOOOO, the Super Mario Kart Patterns have FINALLY zoomed onto the Website!!!!

Yay, that's right folks, after what seems like an age, I've finally got the patterns for the remaining Super Mario Kart patterns up on my website!

I had planned to get these up sooner, but I injured my wrist at the weekend playing three-a-side footie with my six year old nephew, and just when I thought the PDFs were ready to go up on the website I decide to change the pattern layout which has delayed things somewhat.

The Mario Kart characters don't really need any introducing, but here they are just in case:

The Brothers - Mario and Luigi

The Small Guys - Koopa and Toad

The Lady and the Dragon - Princess Peach and Yoshi
The Showdown - Donkey Kong and Bowser!

Each character has two sprites sets, one in their various victory poses etc... and the other in various kart poses!  That make a whopping total of 16 patterns - the most I have ever posted at once!

Here is the direct link to Mario’s page:

As always, if you come across a broken link or damaged file etc... please let me know about them so that I can get them fixed ASAP!

Anyway, I'm done with Mario sprites now.  Next I'm off to finish my Zelda page, although I think that I might take a break from designing for a while so that I can catch up with some of my stitching, and well ... there are more than enough patterns on the website to keep you going for a while.

Don't forget that you can still email me if you have a pattern request!

And please send me your pics so that I can put them on the website!

Till next time ... keep Kalm and Cross-stitch! xxx

Website update means Patterns, Patterns, Patterns!!!!!!

Yeah, finally 110mb.com got it's act together and I was able to upload new stuff!

I have a total of twelve (yes, 12) new offerings for you, spread over two new pages.

First up is Alex Kidd.  Some of you who know me on deviantART will have seen me stitch up one of these and I recently showed off another AK design on here as part of my WIP updates.

There are six charts in total -- I don't intend to do anymore, but I am of course open to requests if you see something from the series you'd like to get charted!

Patterns are up on the website, but here is a direct link to his page:

Second, I have a new page for Pokemon sprites!  As you know I recently charted patterns for those Pesky Unowns and this week, I decided to chart patterns for the emoticons that crop up in Heart Gold/Soul Silver.

This page will continue to be a work in progress with new charts added as and when, but at the moment, I don't know what other sprites I shall be doing yet.

Here is the direct link to the page:

So that's all for now, let me know what you think, and as always, if stitch my designs, please, please, please, please let me see them so can add them to my gallery!!!

Till next time, Keep Kalm and Cross-stitch!!!
